Why this site exists

Owning a home means buying things you cannot easily evaluate: an insurance policy written in a legal dialect, a warranty contract whose exclusions matter more than its headline, and repair or remodeling work where three reputable estimates can differ by thousands. Most of the internet's advice on all three is a thin wrapper around a lead form.

Simple Choice Hub was built on a simple premise: explain the product honestly, disclose exactly how we are paid, and let people decide for themselves. If a visitor reads a guide, understands their deductible or their service fee, and never clicks a partner link, that is a good outcome.

What we do

• We publish plain-English explanations of how homeowners insurance works (coverage structure, limits, deductibles, exclusions, claims), how home warranty plans work (service fees, caps, what counts as normal wear), and how to buy home services well (estimates, licensing, contracts, what to check before work starts).
• We link visitors to comparison partners — licensed insurers and agencies, home warranty companies, and home service marketplaces — who can quote and deliver the product in your area.
• We disclose our compensation on every page, in the header and the footer, and in detail on our advertiser disclosure.

What we do not do

• We are not an insurance company, agency or broker. We do not underwrite, quote, bind, sell, or service insurance policies, and we do not adjust claims.
• We are not a home warranty company or administrator. We do not sell service contracts, dispatch technicians, or decide what is covered.
• We are not a contractor, installer or home service provider. We do not perform, schedule, guarantee or supervise any work, and we do not vet individual tradespeople.
• We do not give personalized advice. Nothing on this site is insurance, legal, tax, financial, construction or home maintenance advice for your situation.
• We collect no personal information. There are no forms on this website. We do not run a call center, we do not telemarket, and we do not generate or sell leads. If you receive a call after requesting a quote or estimate, it comes from the partner whose form you completed, under the consents you gave them.
• We do not claim to survey the whole market. We work with a limited set of partners, and other insurers, warranty companies or contractors may offer you better terms.

How we are funded

Simple Choice Hub is advertising-supported. Insurance companies, licensed agencies, home warranty companies, home service providers and the comparison marketplaces that represent them pay us a referral fee or commission when visitors click through and go on to request a quote or estimate, or make a purchase. That compensation can affect which partners appear on the site and where, but it does not affect what this site says, and it does not change the price you are quoted. Who writes this

Our content is written and reviewed by the Simple Choice Hub editorial team, working from primary sources. For insurance: standard ISO-based homeowners policy forms, state insurance department consumer publications, FEMA and National Flood Insurance Program materials, and guidance from the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. For home warranties: the sample contracts companies publish and state service-contract regulations. For home services: state contractor licensing boards, the Federal Trade Commission's home improvement guidance, and manufacturer installation specifications. Where a claim depends on a specific state's rules, we say so rather than generalizing.

We date every page with the month it was last reviewed, and we correct mistakes promptly when they are reported. If you find something wrong, please tell us — we genuinely want to know.
